Sisters Network Inc. - Orlando Chapter

I joined in with the ladies of Sisters Network- Orlando Chapter for the "Gift for Life Block Walk" in the Tangelo Park Neighborhood. This unique and innovative program allows breast cancer survivors to partner with volunteers and canvass door-to-door in the African American community to distribue breast health education brochures and resource information.

The community has an opportunity to meet survirors, hear their stories, and experience their triumph over breast cancer. Individuals are invited to the event site (which was the Tangelo Baptist Church) to enjoy refreshments and visit breast cancer-related agencies to learn more about the resources and services available in their community.

Free mammograms were also offered by the Women's Center For Radiology, located in Orlando, Florida.
